I don’t normally post the questions and my answers because of the huge amount of text they would add to the bottom of the articles where readers leave their comments. However, I feel like it would help to publish a few of the exchanges periodically, so here is the first of what may become a series:

The best bet for you and most other people living outside the United States is to order a 10-pack of LiveStrong Yellow Wristbands from the Lance Armstrong Foundation On-Line Store at http://www.laf-store.org/.
Many people are looking for authentic LiveStrong wristbands at local shops overseas, but no one has reported that they are consistantly available in recent months. Quite a few people gripe about the shipping charges, the length of time it takes for the wristbands to arrive, and the fact that you have to take at least 10.
My response is that this is the most reliable way to get what you are looking for, and remember that the purpose of the LiveStrong Wristband is to promote awareness of the difficulties that cancer survivors face in their daily lives. With that in mind, buying 10 and giving eight or nine away to friends and family is exactly the kind of thing that supporters of the cause should be doing.

I placed an order for a 10-pack of Livestrong Youth Wristbands on November 3, 2004, [ order number information deleted ] which were promised in 3-4 weeks. It has now been over 4 weeks and I have heard nothing, however my credit card has been charged. What’s going on???

A large number of Operation Gadget readers or people seeking information on Internet search engines write to me with this sort of question. I’ve personally placed three separate orders for a total of 50 LiveStrong Yellow Wristbands with the Lance Armstrong Foundation On-Line Store and received each of the orders. The total time from order to delivery ranged from four to five weeks.
Regarding your other comments, youth size LiveStrong wristbands are currently shipping three to six weeks after they are ordered. This is reported on the Lance Armstrong Foundation On-Line Store Order Issues Page. That page also says:
- shipment designations such as next day and AND 3-DAY shipping refer to how long your package will take to arrive once it leaves the LAF warehouse, not the total time it will take for the order to arrive,
- credit cards are charged at the time of purchase.
If you still have questions, you should probably fill out the customer service request form on that page and ask for a direct answer from the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
