My iPhone Was Activated After a 17 Hour Delay

Here's the summary of my iPhone activation experience:

  • 4:00am Saturday (Eastern Time): Finally began activation process using iTunes after a long delay while installing Windows XP Professional on my PC.
  • 4:30am Saturday: Received email from Apple, "AT&T is now processing your activation."
  • 3:36pm Saturday: Received email from AT&T, "Thank you for your recent purchase."
  • 9:36pm Saturday: Received email from Apple, "Activation Complete."

The iPhone was fully operational at that point.
