Fixed Broken Comment Submission Mechanism

Last night, a reader sent the following message:

Hi, I was trying to post a comment about the Lansing 2.0 speakers, and got this error

An error occurred:Undefined subroutine &jayallen::Blacklist::comment_post_hdlr called at /home/httpd/cgi-bin/plugins/Blacklist.pl line 115.

Thanks for the tip, Kevin. I decided to upgrade the MT-Blacklist plugin on the production server without first testing on the development server. (I know better than this, really.)

After forty-five minutes of head scratching and ssh use, the relatively spam-free comment system is back up and running.

Comments

I don't know much about spam-free systems. Is my e-mail address protected from spam if I enter it when leaving a comment? Does it have anything to do with spam-free system?
